Notification before the closing date will incur 50% of the fee. Notification after that date will incur a liability for the full fee. In making this reservation you (the participant or organisation on your behalf) are agreeing to these terms.

CANCELLATION
by the Institute:
Whilst every effort is made to avoid changes to our programme, the Intensive Interaction Institute reserves the right to cancel any session. If this occurs for any reason, the Intensive Interaction Institute will give the earliest possible notice of cancellation. Participants (or their organisation) can choose either to have the session fee returned in full, or to have a place reserved on the next available equivalent session.
However, the Intensive Interaction Institute is unable to re-imburse travel, accommodation or staffing cover costs.

EQUIPMENT
The equipment you will need to get the most out of the workshop
You will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with a modern web browser installed (eg Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari). We do not recommend that you use a smartphone or tablet, as your experience of the session using one of these will be severely limited.
Your desktop or laptop will need to be of a recent specification capable of playing streamed Standard High Definition video.
You will also need a fast and stable broadband connection in order to get the most from any video examples which may be used.
If you are attending from your home environment using wifi, please ensure that no-one else in the household is accessing the internet - particularly streaming video - unless you have a very fast broadband and internal network connections.
The Institute is not in a position to give refunds where any of the above is not in place.
You must ensure that the device you use to participate in this session has the latest security updates installed and has relevant protection.

This CPD session will be of benefit to co-ordinators/practitioners looking to clarify their understanding of Intensive Interaction and/or deepen their grasp of theoretical concepts related to practice.

Intensive Interaction: A counter cultural approach?

This session will examine the roots of 'traditional' education practice through a historical lens and evaluate whether Intensive Interaction sits in conflict with those methods or whether there are opportunities for synergy.

Intensive Interaction and Positive Psychology

This session will explore Intensive Interaction through the lens of Positive Psychology, highlighting how it supports not only communication, but also wellbeing, relationships, belonging, meaning and opportunities to flourish for people with a learning disability.
